Lane Borgosesia

Voge Knitting Merino Sei"Lane Borgosesia" is the classic yarns part of the Trendsetter Yarns business. One of the most alluring aspects of the classic merino yarns offered by Trendsetter is the incredible colour palette. The Lane Borgosesia Merino is offered in a staggering selection of 42 shades, spun at a long established mill in Italy.
Pictured to the left is a jacket which featured in Vogue Knitting Fall 2006, featuring Merino Sei, the double knit weight of their Merino.
The quality of this Merino is superb as with all of the Trendsetter yarns and Lane Borgosesia yarns. It is wonderful for customers to have access to quality yarns, rather than mass produced imports, where the quality is rarely consistent. Lane Borgosesia yarns are produced by mills with over 100 years experience in the industry ... their expereince cannot be matched and the results are garments that will last and last for years.

One of the exciting trends this season has been the rising popularity of lace knitting using extremely fine yarns for wraps, shawls and scarves. The colours available for lace-weight has never been better and Lane Borgosesia Cashwool is in very high demand as a result. The picture below, just gives you a small 'flavour' of the spectrum of shades on offer - there are 49 shades in total. Lane Borgosesia Cashwool
You may have seen the beautiful scarf pattern by Chrissie Day in the October 2007 issue of "Simply Knitting". If you missed it, you can find information on the Media Page.
Lane Borgosesia Bollicina
The "Pièce de résistance" has to be Lane Borgosesia Bollicina and Kashmir. The Bollicina is a fine 4 ply of 65% Cashmere and 35% Silk. It knits up between 3 ply and 4 ply and the Kashmir is the DK 'sibling' to this beautiful yarn. There was a beautiful Heirloom Baby Layette featured in two issues of Simply Knitting, designed by Sian Brown. The popularity of this pattern has outweighed supply for Bollicina, as customers have ventured into knitting something that they intend to keep in the family for years to come. For information of this pattern, please visit the Media Page.
